Volvo XC40 T4 Interior
Just like the exterior, the interior remains largely unchanged. The fit and finish of the cabin is top notch with high quality materials all around. The theme is all black unlike the earlier model which had an orange theme with the white exterior paint shade. The digital instrument cluster is the same, clear and easy to read, as is the steering wheel which is identical to the diesel model. The 9.0 inch touch screen infotainment system is slick to use and very responsive. Other features include wireless charging, panoramic sunroof, tyre pressure monitor, parking sensors, Harman Kardon sound system and a rear view camera.
The XC40 comes with premium leather upholstery. The front seats are comfortable and come with electric adjust and memory function for the driver’s side. The heating function has been excluded. Support is excellent as well. There is enough space at the rear but the seat itself isn’t the best around. The back rest is too upright and under thigh support could have been better. Also with the transmission hump in the centre, the rear seat is best suited for two. Boot space is more than adequate at 460 litres.
