German car maker Volkswagen has announced a slew of measures to ensure that owning and living with cars from their portfolio is now much more cheaper.
Starting from January 1st, 2019, all Volkswagen cars sold in India will come with a standard 4 year or 1,00,000 kms warranty. This also includes 4 years of Road Side Assistance. Additionally, owners can now avail of 3 free services in the first year or upto 15,000 kms. Volkswagen says that this has reduced services costs for VW cars by 24% to 44% across the model range.
Extended warranty period have also gone up and customers can now avail a maximum extended warranty of up to 7 years or 1.25,000 kms. Add on warranties can be bought for a period of 1 year/ 20,000 kms, whichever is earlier.The car maker has also worked on reducing spare part prices and and that a standard price card is followed across all dealerships for spares and labour charges.
