There is a gleaming yellow Ferrari 512 TR flanked by a classic 250 GT Lusso. This example was sold new in San Francisco. My eyes quickly move to one of the most beautiful Ferraris ever made, the 365/GTB4 Daytona and it’s a Spider. I get to see the history of this amazing car nicely documented by renowned Ferrari historian Marcel Massini. The car was originally red with black interiors and was delivered brand new in Bologna in 1969. The car later reached the USA with 8500 kms on the clock and was converted to a Spider in the mid 70s. All but 24 Scaglietti Daytona Spiders around the world are conversions. The records of the car are accurate to every point it was put up on sale. And this car has come into the collection a just a week before my visit. They have another Daytona in the collection as well. This one’s a Coupe and has come in from Japan. I get to check out in the detailing bay. The detailing bay is where all cars get their interior cleaning done as well as wax polishing for the exteriors. The detailing area also has a lift where the car can be hoisted up for prospective customers to inspect. The area is well lit up so that minute details of the car can be checked.
