In the build up to the Auto Expo 2020, Skoda has debuted its Vision IN concept at the Skoda Auto Volkswagen India media night in New Delhi. The Skoda Vision IN is the first product of groups India. 2.0 project and the first model to be built on the MQB AO platform that has been developed specially for India.
The Vision IN concept has a very bold face with a prominent front grille that is illuminated. There are LED projector headlamps and a chiseled front bumper with large air intakes and a three slot skid plate. Other features include body cladding, massive 19 inch alloy wheels and prominent roof rails. At the rear it gets large LED tail lamps and an LED strip that runs across between the tail lamps. The Vision IN concept measures 4256 mm in length and has a wheelbase of 2,671 mm.
On the interior, it gets a layered dashboard design, with a chrome bar running across the dash. The concept gets the Virtual Cockpit instrument cluster and a free standing 12.3 inch screen for the infotainment system. The three spoke steering wheel comes with chrome accents and knurled controls for the phone and audio. The roof lining is made of recycled plastic fibres, whilst the
decorative strips are made of genuine crystal and a crystalline assistant sits in the centre of the dashboard.
Power comes from a 1.5 litre TSI petrol engine putting out 150 hp. The engine is mated to a DSG automatic gearbox.
The Vision IN concept will go into production in the year 2021 and will rival the likes of the Hyundai Creta and Kia Seltos.
