The Skoda Octavia RS will be launched in India next month with deliveries beginning soon after. Skoda had earlier sold the first gen Octavia RS in India way back in 2004.

Skoda Octavia RS Engine

The new Skoda Octavia RS will come with a 2.0 litre TSI petrol engine that will put out 230 horsepower and 350 Nm of torque. Skoda says the RS will do the 0 to 100 kph sprint in 6.7 seconds with a limited top speed of 250 kph. The engine will come mated to a six speed DSG automatic gearbox.

Skoda Octavia RS Exterior

On the exterior, the Octavia RS will get LED headamps, LED tail lamp, fog lamps along with LED daytime running lamps. The trademark Skoda front grille will feature an RS logo. At the rear, the car gets a restyled bumper, boot spoiler, rear diffuser with red reflector and stainless steel dual exhaust tips.

The interior will feature sports seats with integrated head rests. Alcanta fabric upholstery will be standard, while Alcantara leather will be offered as an option. There is a three spoke sports steering with red contrast stitching and a leather gear knob featuring the RS logo. Other features include a 9.2-inch touchscreen for the Columbus infotainment system. The system will come with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink. Safety features include nine airbags, Park Assist and ESP.
