The Skoda Kodiaq has been around for a couple of years now, and is a compelling package if you want to buy a luxury SUV. The luxury quotient went higher after Skoda introduced the top of the line L&K variant that we reviewed recently. Now, to add some flavor to the SUV tag, the Czech car maker has launched the Kodiaq Scout, an off-road focused model that will sit between the Style and the L&K in the Kodiaq line-up. Skoda invited us to drive the Kodiaq Scout from Nagpur to the famous Pench Tiger Reserve in Madhya Pradesh and back, a total distance of approx. 200 km covering some fantastic roads. Pretty much the whole day to get to know the Skoda Kodiaq Scout better.
The Kodiaq is already a handsome looking SUV and the Scout gets a number of styling elements that give it a distinct character. There is an all black front grille along with a silver scuff plate on the front bumper. On the side, the Kodiaq Scout gets new dual tone Anthracite 18-inch Trinity alloy wheels, body cladding and Scout badges on the front fender. The ORVMs and roof rails are also finished in silver. At the rear, the Skoda logo on the tailgate is replaced by SKODA lettering finished in chrome (all Skoda cars will feature this going forward) and a silver diffuser in the rear bumper.
