The Skoda Kodiaq is the range topping SUV for the Czech car maker and was launched in India in 2017. Available in a single Style trim, we came away impressed when we drove it later. The feature list, build quality and drivability was everything we loved about it. Skoda has now added the top of the line Laurin and Klement (L&K) variant to the Kodiaq model lineup in India. Here’s a closer look at what’s new in the Skoda Kodiaq L&K.
Skoda Kodiaq L&K Exterior
Skoda Auto was initially called Laurin & Klement, named after its two founders Vaclav Laurin and Vaclav Klement and the L&K badge is a tribute to both of them. Only high end models from the Skoda portfolio wear this badge. Now after that brief history lesson, lets dissect the Kodiaq L&K and check out more details. As far as the exterior goes, there are a few cosmetic updates. The front grille gets chrome vertical slats instead of the blackened ones that are seen on the Style variant. The Laurin & Klement badge sits prominently on the front fenders. At the rear, the bumper gets a chrome garnish with faux exhaust tips. The roof rails also feature silver accents. Apart from these, the Kodiaq also gets this new Magnetic Brown paint shade, exclusive to the L&K. However, what’s disappointing is that Skoda has retained the 18-inch Trinity design alloy wheels from the Style. A different design alloy would have added to the appeal in our opinion.
