Rolls Royce Cullinan spied testing at Arctic Circle
New spy shots of the the Rolls-Royce Cullinan, the super luxury car maker’s first foray into the SUV space have surfaced. The prototype has been spied testing at the Arctic Circle in Scandinavia and reveals a lot about the design.
Named after the Cullinan Diamond, it is no doubt huge but appears to be a little shorter bumper to bumper than the Phantom, the car on which it is based. A new aluminum architecture means that the SUV will be lighter than the Phantom. It is also seen with rear suicide doors, just like other Rolls Royce models. The Cullinan is expected to come with a 6.6-liter twin-turbo V12 engine that is also seen in the Ghost, Wraith and the Dawn. Power will be set to all four wheels via an eight speed automatic gearbox.
The Rolls-Royce Cullinan is expected to debut sometime next year and will rival the Bentley Bentayga and high end Range Rover models.
