Range Rover SVAutobiography revealed
Land Rover has officially revealed the new Range Rover SVAutobiography. This new model will make its official debut at the New York Motor Show and will be offered in standard and long wheelbase variants. This is said to be the most luxurious and powerful Range Rover ever built in its 45 year history.
The SVAutobiography will come with a duo tone body colour option. The upper body will feature a Santorini Black shade while there will be a choice of nine colours for the lower body. It gets new lettering on the bonnet and SVAutobiography badging on the tail gate. The front also gets a new grille finished in Graphite Atlas and chrome. The top of the line 5.0 litre V8 supercharged engine variant which puts out 542 bhp also gets quad exhaust pipes.
There are changes to the interior too. The switchgear, start stop surround, rotary controls and pedals are all finished in solid aluminium. There are new arm rest adjusters as well.The rear gets a chiller compartment and electronically powered deployable tables. That;s not all, there are aluminium coat hooks and deep twist pile mohair carpet mats. The SVAutobiography gets the option of a sliding load space floor. Made from aluminium, it helps with loading and unloading from the SUV. The tailgate gets extra ‘Event Seats’ that are stowed in the luggage compartment and can be opened easily to seat two adults.
There are a host of engines available for the SVAutobiography which include the TDV6, SDV6 Hybrid, SDV8, and SCV6 supercharged variants. There is also the range topping 5.0 V8 supercharged engine that puts out 542 bhp and 680 Nm torque. This motor is mated to a ZF 8 speed automatic gearbox.
This flagship Range Rover will rival the SUVs that will be launched by Rolls Royce and Bentley in 2016. The SVAutobiography replaces the current Autobiography Black version and will go on sale in the summer of 2015.
