Porsche has opened bookings for the 718 Cayman and the 718 Boxster in India. The Porsche 718 Cayman is priced at Rs. 80.13 lakh and the 718 Boxster at Rs. 83.95 lakh (both ex showroom Mumbai. The convertible Boxster is more expensive than the Cayman coupe this time.
The Porsche 718 Cayman and the 718 Boxster are powered by 2.0-litre, fourcylinder turbocharged engines as against the naturally aspirated units of their predecessors. The engine develops 300 horsepower and 380 Nm of torque, giving both cars a 0-100kph timing of 5.1 seconds, and onto a top speed of 275kph. Both cars come with a seven-speed automatic PDK gearbox.
Standard equipment includes bi xenon headlamps with four point daytime running lights, carbon ceramic brakes, electric folding mirrors, sports seats, sports steering wheel inspired from the 918 Spyder super car, Porsche Communication Management system and eight-speaker sound system.The 718 Boxster gets a six-speaker system.
The Porsche 718 Cayman and the 718 Boxster are expected to launch in India next month, with deliveries beginning in November 2016. The will be sold as fully imported CBUs and will be available in standard and ‘S’ variants.
