For the Carrera range, power comes from a new generation 3.0 litre twin turbo six cylinder engine that develops 370 horsepower and 450 Nm torque in the 911 Carrera and 420 horsepower and 500 Nm in the 911 Carrera S. The 911 Carrera with PDK and Sport Chrono Package goes from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds , making it two tenths of a second faster than its predecessor. The 911 Carrera S with PDK and Sport Chrono Package does the sprint in just 3.9 seconds (also 0.2 seconds faster). Top speed for the Carrera and Carrera S is 295 kph and 308 kph respectively.
For the Turbo Porsche 911 range, power comes from a 3.8 litre six cylinder engine bi turbo engine that develops 540 horsepower (gain of 20 hp) and has a 0 to 100 kph timing of 3.0 seconds and has a top speed of 320 kph. In the 911 Turbo S, the same motor develops 580 horsepower due to the use of new turbochargers and compressors. It goes from 0 to 100 kph in 2.9 seconds, making it the first production Porsche 911 to break the 3 seconds barrier for 0 to 100 kph timing. The car has a top speed of 330 kph. Along with the optional Sport Chrono Package, the Porsche 911 range now comes with a drive mode switch on the steering wheel, inspired from the iconic 918 Spyder. You get four drive modes to choose from: Normal, Sport, Sport+ and Individual. In combination with the PDK gearbox, the mode swtich has an additional “Sport Response Button. Once the button is pressed, the drive train is pre conditioned to give maximum acceleration for 20 seconds.
