The all new Maruti Swift that as recently unveiled is set to have a long waiting list. While the time frame for the current waiting period issix to eight weeks, it is expected to go up to four months as reported by most dealers around the country.

Maruti Suzuki officially opened bookings for the new Swift on January 17th for a booking amount of rs. 11,000/-. However dealers had already started accepting orders earlier.

It is being reported that the AMT variants of the new Swift have seen the highest demand, raking in 65 percent of the total number of bookings. The AMT gearbox will be available in both petrol and diesel models and in the VXI/ZXI and VDI/ZDI variants of the hatchback.

The new Maruti Swift will be launched at the Auto Expo 2018 in February.
