New Mahindra MPV set for an early 2018 launch
Mahindra is all set to launch their new MPV in early 2018. Test mules have been doing the rounds on Indian roads since a year.
The U321 will feature a monocoque construction. From the spy shots, some visible highlights include projector headlamps, toothed front grille, LED DRLs near the foglamps in the bumper, vertical tail lamps, reflectors in the rear bumper, a roof mounted stop lamp and alloy wheels.
The MPV is expected to come with a seating capacity of 7 to 8 people. The second row could feature optional captain seats along with a front facing third row. Other equipment could include auto climate control and a touch screen infotainment system. Beige upholstery all around is also expected.
The upcoming MPV will be powered by a 1.6 litre mFlacon diesel motor that has been jointly developed with SsangYong. This engine will develop 130 horsepower.
It is expected to be priced between Rs. 10 to 15 lakh which will put it between the Maruti Ertiga and the premium Toyota Innova Crysta.
