Hyundai India has revealed the all new Santro and the car maker will launch the new hatchback on October 23, 2018. The Santro moniker is back after Hyundai held a naming competition for the new hatch.
The all new Santro is built on an all new platform and features 63% Advanced High strength steel in its construction. Hyundai says the design theme is based on “Rhythmical Tension” that adds a sport character to the car. The front features Hyundai’s signature cascade grille with chrome elements.
Coming to the features, the new Santro will come with a 7 inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple Carplay and Mirror Link. It also features voice recognition and rear view camera display. The Santro all gets first in class rear AC vents. Standard safety features include driver’ s airbag and ABS with EBD.
The new Santro will be powered by a 1.1 litre four cylinder petrol engine that develops 67.5 horsepower. The engine will be mated to a five speed manual or a 5 speed AMT box that has been developed in ouse by Hyundai. A factory CNG option will also be on offer.
The new Santro will come with a 3.years/1,00,000 kms warranty along with 3 years Road Side Assistance.
Pre-bookings for the new Santro open on October 10 2018 to October 22 2018. Bookings will be entirely online for an amount of Rs. 11,000 as an introductory offer for the first 50,000 customers.
