The biggest question on everyone’s mind is about charging.  The MG ZS EV comes with a 7.4 kW AC charger that will be fitted either at your home or office at no added cost. The second option is to use the 50kW fast chargers fitted at selected MG dealerships and they are available whenever required. DC chargers can charge from 0-80 percent in about 50 mins! However, it is not advisable to use DC chargers all the time as it may reduce battery life. For every four AC charge cycles, one DC charger can be used. The third option is of charging through a normal 15A plug point. This option takes typically 16-18 hours to charge the ZS.

The MG ZS EV has a charging point in front, and its helpful for those park their cars nose first into the garage. The charging starts once the charging gun is plugged in and car is locked. The gun cannot be removed until the car is unlocked. This is great from a security point of view, especially you are using the third charging option of 16-18 hours, which will be typically kept overnight. The MG ZS EV looks very promising, drives as good as a fossil fuel car and carries a healthy feature list and above all its pollution free. We expect the ZS EV to be in the range of Rs 19-22 lakhs. MG has covered the bases by offering a 5 year unlimited km warranty coupled with 5 years of road assistance and 5 labour free services. The Battery carries a 8year and 1,50,000 kilometers warranty above all. This will be an excellent option as a second car primarily used within the city. The EV game is certainly hotting up and with more EVs coming into the market, it wont be an easy ride for the ZS EV. But if you want to go green and do your bit for the planet, the MG ZS EV is a great package and definitely worth considering.
