Mercedes-Benz India has recorded its highest ever half yearly sales by selling 8,061 units in the January to June 2018 period. This translates to a 12.4% year on year growth. The carmaker had sold 7,171 units during the same period last year.
The long wheelbase E-Class continues to lead the charge for Mercedes-Benz in India. The sedan portfolio has registered a 15.2% growth in the Jan to June 2018 period while the SUV portfolio has seen a 15.9% percent growth during the same period.
Roland Folger, Managing Director & CEO, Mercedes-Benz India said, “We want to continue our leadership position in the Indian luxury car market, upholding the number 1 position for the last three years. Customers in India want to be a part of a winning brand imagery which is associated
with Mercedes-Benz.”
Mercedes-Benz has launched 7 products in the first half of 2018 and will be launching more models in the coming months along with new service initiatives.
