The Mercedes-Benz GLS Grand Edition has been launched in India at Rs. 86.90 lakh ex showroom for both the GLS350d Grand Edition and the GLS400 Grand Edition petrol.
The GLS Grand Edition comes with black rings integrated into the Intelligent LED light system, new design 20 inch ten spoke alloy wheels finished in black with high sheen finish, chrome fins on the bonnet and Grand Edition badges on the exterior. Inside the GLS Grand Edition gets Rear Seat Entertainment System as standard. It features 2 7 inch high definition screens.
Mechanically, the GLS Grand Edition remains unchanged. Th GLS350d is powered by a 3.0 litre V6 diesel engine that develops 258 horsepower and 620 Nm of torque. The GLS400 comes with a 3.0 litre V6 petrol engine that puts out 333 horses and 480 Nm of torque. Both engines come mated to a 9G-Tronic automatic gearbox. There are five drive modes on offer: Comfort, Sport, Slippery, Individual and Off-Road. The GLS comes with the 4Matic four wheel drive system.
Other features include a panoramic sunroof, 8 inch screen for the infotainment system with touch pad, Mirror package with logo projection, Active Park Assist with 360 degree camera, Airmatic suspension, Smartphone integration featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and memory function for the front seats.
The GLS Grand Edition comes with service packages that start at Rs.75,000 for the GLS400 and Rs. 1.04 lakh for the GLS350d for two years with unlimited mileage.
