Mercedes-Benz has launched the C300 and S500 Cabriolets in India. The C300 is priced at Rs. 60 lakh while the S500 drop top comes to you at Rs. 2.25 crore ex showroom Delhi. Both cars will be sold as fully imported CBUs. The C300 Cabriolet features a 2.0 litre turbo petrol engine that develops 245 horsepower and comes mated to a nine speed automatic gearbox. It features Dynamic Select with five driving modes. The C300 comes with a host of standard equipment that includes a 13 speaker Burmester system, dual zone climate control, Agility Control, navigation and PRE SAFE. The fabric soft top can be operated at upto speeds of 50 kph. The roof comes in a choice of four colours. The S500 Cabriolet is the sixth model in the S-Class range for Mercedes-Benz.It is powered by a 4.7 litre twin turbo V8 engine developing 442 bhp and 700 Nm of torque. The soft top opens and closed in 20 seconds and can be operated at speeds of up to 50 kph. The roof can also be operated via the car’s key fob. The roof also comes with a choice of four colours.
The equipment list on the S500 Cabriolet includes Theromotronic auto climate control, Active Park Assist with 360 degree camera, 23 speaker Burmester Sound system and massage function for the front seats. Mercedes also offers customization for S500 Cabriolet via the designo programme.
The Mercedes-Benz India convertible model range now comprises of the C300 Cabriolet, E400 Cabriolet, S500 Cabriolet and SLC43 AMG.
