Mercedes-Benz has launched the A-Class facelift in India at a price of Rs. 24.95 lakh for the A180 Sport petrol and Rs. 25.95 lakh for the A200d Sport diesel. ex showroom Delhi.
The facelifted model gets restyled front and rear bumpers, new LED headlamps, restyled tail lamps with LED treatment and dual exhausts integrated into the rear bumper. The A-Class now also comes in a new Elbaite green metallic paint shade.
On the interior, the car gets a new three spoke steering wheel with 12 function buttons, shift lever in leather, updated infotainment system with an 8 inch screen that comes equipped with Apple Car Play and Mercedes-Benz Apps as standard, new instrument cluster, new ARTICO fabric seats and a panoramic sunroof as standard.
Mechanically the A-Class remains unchanged. It comes with a choice of a 1.6 litre four cylinder petrol engine that develops 122 horsepower and a 2.2 litre four cylinder diesel motor good for 136 horses. The A200d has a top speed of 210 kph, while the A180 goes from 0 to 100 kph in 8.6 seconds. Both engines come mated to a 7 speed dual clutch gearbox. The A-Class comes with DYNAMIC SELECT that offers four driving modes: Comfort, Sport, Eco and Individual.
The A-Class facelift is the 15th and final launch for Mercedes-Benz India this year as part of their ’15 in 15′ strategy.The new model rivals the BMW 1 Series and the Volvo V40 in the Indian market.
