Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster Ride & Handling
The suspension has a stiff setup and the ride quality is as you would expect from a car like this. Every undulation on the road is felt, though it is still acceptable. Ground clearance is pretty decent too, and while going over normal speed humps wasn’t an issue, the car did scrape on a couple of occasions on some really bad ones, that too at the rear. Going sideways cautiously solves that problem easily though. Handling is fabulous with fantastic feedback from the steering wheel. Body roll is well controlled too. The AMG GT Roadster features a staggered tyre setup and grip levels are fantastic. That said, being a rear wheel drive, it is pretty tail happy as well and you don’t have to try hard to get the rear out for some fun. High speed stability is excellent and our test car had the optional carbon ceramic brakes which offer insane braking capability.
Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster Verdict
The Mercedes-AMG GT Roadster is super high on the desirability quotient. Its drop dead gorgeous looks are a total turn on and the drop top is the cherry on the cake. What’s more, it has that fantastic V8 engine with blistering performance which puts a smile you face along with the sweet sounding exhaust note. The interiors are comfortable, and there’s a lot of equipment on offer as well. Plus it is practical too and can be driven everyday. At Rs. 2.27 crore ex showroom, it is expensive for sure, but it is a small price to pay for all the drama and thrills that this magnificent automobile gives you. The AMG GT Roadster is wicked grins guaranteed every time you push the throttle pedal.
