A Mercedes AMG demonstration for customers at an event on Zwartkops Racetrack in Johannesburg South Africa went horribly wrong when a blue C 63 collided with an AMG GT S during the show. The demo consisted of four cars which were supposed perform a zig zag pattern, but apparently, the driver of the AMG GT S was slow to make his move. The C 63 hit the side of the AMG GT sending it off track. Both cars were declared write-offs because of extensive damage and airbag deployment. Both drivers excaped unhurt.
