Maruti Suzuki has launched a Special Edition variant of the Dzire compact sedan. The special Edition is is available in both petrol and diesel and is based on the entry level LXi and LDi trim levels.
The Special Edition gets features like front power windows, new design wheel covers, remote central locking, rear parking sensors and a two speaker audio system with Bluetooth.
The Dzire gets ABS, dual airbags and brake assist as standard across all trim levels. With the above new features, Maruti will be looking to lure more buyers to the entry level variants of the Dzire.
Prices for the Dzire Special Edition start at Rs. 5.56 lakh for the petrol. The diesel cost a lakh more (ex showroom Delhi). This variant is approx Rs. 30,000 costlier than the standard LXi and LDi trims.
Rivals of the Maruti Dzire in the Indian market include the Hyundai Xcent, Volkswagen Ameo, Tata Tigor and the new Honda Amaze.
