Mahindra i all set to launch the petrol powered version of the Marazzo MPV in May 2020. The BS VI diesel Marazzo will launch before the petrol and is expected to come with a change in variants.
Power for the petrol Mahindra Marazzo will come from the new mStallion family of engines that were showcased at the Auto Expo 2020 in February. The engine of choice will be the 1.5-litre TGDI (turbocharged gasoline direct injection) unit that develops 163 horsepower and 280 Nm of torque. The motor is the four cylinder version if the 1.2 three cylinder G12 unit that will be seen in the XUV300 Sport in April. Transmission options will include a 6 speed manual and an Aisin 6 speed automatic gearbox.
While the Marazzo will be the first model to feature the G15 motor, it will also be seen in the mid-size SUVs that are being developed jointly by Mahindra and Ford codenamed S204 and B745, respectively.
The Mahindra Marazzo petrol is expected to be priced between the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga petrol and Toyota Innova Crysta petrol model range.
