Mahindra is all bullish about EVs for India and already offers the e-Verito and the e20 four door. The car maker plans to launch two more electric vehicles by 2019 and the next in line is the KUV100 Electric. This is the first spy shot of the vehicle testing on road.
While it might appear as just any other KUV100 Nxt, the absence of an exhaust pipe and engine noise makes it apparent that it is electric. The test mule had a Fiery Orange paint job with black bumper and an unpainted tail gate. There is some camo to the rear window and black piping running to the bottom.
Mahindra is planning to invest around INR 4,000 crore in EVs over the next 3-5 years. This is a shot in the arm of India’s vision of going fully electric by 2030.
