DC Design has launched a limited edition of the Avanti sportcar called the Avanti 310 at Rs. 44 lakh ex showroom Delhi. Only 31 units of this variant will be made.
The Avanti 310 gets carbon fibre treatment on the new two piece front splitter, sill extensions and the rear diffuser. There is also a carbon fibre rear wing, which helps provide down force at high speeds according to DC Design. The ride height has been lowered by 20 mm, bringing the ground clearance down to 150 mm Other visual changes include LED headlamps and tail lamps along with dark forged alloy wheels.
The Avanti 310 is powered by the same Renault sourced 2.0 litre turbocharged four cylinder petrol motor which is now tuned to develop 310 bhp. It also gets a 6 speed automated manual transmission with paddle shifters as an option. It is interesting to note that the AMT for the Avanti 310 has been developed in house by DC Design. Additionally it also gets stiffer anti roll bards for stability.
On the interior, the Avanti 310 gets Alcantara sports seats, leather steering wheel and a TFT instrument cluster with sport gauges.
The Avanti 310 will be available in three colours – Grey with Green, White with Blue and Matte Grey with Orange. The car will be available from April 2016. We hope the Avanti 310 makes an appearance at the 2016 Auto Expo.
