Step inside and you immediately get the Lexus vibes. The dark interiors with the layered dashboard sets the mood for what's to come.
There is no doubt that EV invasion is here. Apart from our home grown companies that are creating their own EV party, even premium marques have jumped onto the bandwagon. I have just driven so many EVs in recent times and Im also getting used to the charging etc. And just when I thought I was done for a while, here comes another one. This is the Lexus UX300e. No its launched yet, but you could well see it in a showroom near you in the not too distant future. And I got to spend a few days with it.
Lexus UX300e Exterior
The UX300e is what a Lexus of today’s time and age should look like. And I personally like the Lexus design language. There is the trademark Lexus grille that looks sharp and it is flanked by slim LED headlamps with L shaped DRLs. The cuts in the front bumper are very in your face and will catch your attention. The wheel arches are squared and you get 18 inch alloy wheels with a funky design. You do get body cladding all around as well. There are a lot of cuts and creases around which give you impression of the UX being sculpted into shape. The rear has a stubby tailgate. The L shaped tail lamps are connected with a light bar and there is an integrated roof spoiler as well. At 4,495mm long, 1,840mm wide, and 1,545mm tall, it is small than the NX that was recently launched. THE UX will sit more against the Mercedes GLA, BMW X1 and the likes. Even though it looks compact, I quite like the sporty stance that the UX exudes.
