The Lexus RX450h is set to launch in India in March 2017. The RX sits below the range topping full size LX range in the car maker’s line up.
The RX450h will come with a 3.5 litre V6 petrol engine combined with Toyota’s hybid system. The motor will put out a combined output of 308 horsepower and will come mated to a CVT gearbox with power going to all four wheels.The India spec version will get 18 inch alloys as opposed to 20 inchers that are available abroad. A more sportier F-Sport version will also be launched. It will share the same engine and mechanicals but will additionally come with adaptive suspension, active stabiliser bars and more drive modes.
Features on the Lexus RX450h include dual; zone climate control, heated and ventilated seats with electric adjust and memory function, LED headlamps, reverse camera, powered tailgate, electrically adjustable steering, park assist with auto braking, 10 airbags and stability program. The F-Sport version will feature a body kit.
The RX450h is now in its fourth generation, and will rival the Mercedes GLC, BMW X3 and the Audi Q5. However prices are expected to be higher than the competition because it will be sold as a fully imported CBU. Bokkings for the Lexus models are already open and deliveries should begin in arch.
