MiuraThe Lamborghini Miura is one of the most beautiful and iconic super cars of our time. Automobili Lamborghini has now carefully restored the 1971 Miura SV that made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show 45 years ago. The company has been restoring the car over the past one year.

This particular example of the Lamborghini Miura is set to be displayed at the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance. It has been called a one off and has many components from the Miura S and some features that were later seen in the Miura SV.

The restoration has been a labour of love as photos and historical documents were referred to during the whole process to ensure that the model resembled the car that made the Geneva Motor Show debut. TEchnicians brought the car’s exteriors back to its original shape using production sheets  and records that were held by Lamborghini. A significant number of components were restored and the original tan leather upholstery was also refurbished.

Lamborghini wanted the car to be authentic so employees used original parts from that era to replace some components. The V12 engine was also overhauled and the car repainted in its original Verde Metallizata metallic green color.

Lamborghini PoloStorico boss Enrico Maffeo said “This car not only illustrates the iconic appeal of the Miura, widely acknowledged as the forerunner of modern super sports models, but is also a perfect example of the expertise available in Lamborghini PoloStorico in providing the most authentic Lamborghini restorations.”
