The Lamborghini Huracan rear wheel drive Spyder will be launched in India on February 1, 2017. The new model however, does not get the LP580-2 monicker but carries a more descriptive name.
The Lamborghini Huracan rear wheel drive Spyder features the same 5.2 litre naturally aspirated V10 engine that does duty in the other Huracan models. It develops 580 horsepower and 540 Nm of torque. It goes from 0 to 100 in just 3.6 seconds and has a top speed of 319 kph. The engine is mated to a 7 speed dual clutch gearbox that sends power to the rear wheels. The V10 engine features cylinder deactivation, where five of the ten cylinders are temporarily deactivated by switching off one cylinder bank when not required.
The Lamborghini Huracan rear wheel drive Spyder comes with a fabric soft top that can be opened or closed in just 17 seconds at speeds of up to 50 km/h. The car has a weight distribution of 40 per cent at the front and 60 per cent at the rear, significantly reducing front axle inertia and potentially reducing understeer.
Lamborghini currently offers the Huracan LP610-4 coupe and spyder and the LP580-2 coupe in India.
