Kia Sonet Verdict
The compact SUV segment is a crowed space and it isn’t going to be easy to make a mark. But Kia seems to have done their homework yet again. The Sonet has fresh and modern styling without any quirkiness. It has a nice interior and is loaded with features, some of which are a segment first. Its nice to drive too, especially the diesel automatic which is actually its biggest USP. No other manufacturer offers a torque converter diesel auto in this segment. And with choice of multiple engine and gearbox combinations along with variants, there will be a Sonet to fit every one’s budget. Sure, the back seat isn’t the best around but that’s probably the only fly in the ointment of what is a great package. Pricing is going to be very important and if Kia gets that right, the Sonet will follow the same road to success as the Seltos did last year. Our pick? The diesel automatic of course.
