Jaguar Land Rover India has launched its new smartphone integration platform called InControl Apps. This new platform has been developed in partnership with Bosch and it transfers the interface from the phone to the touch screen of the car infotainment system thereby allowing users access to popular apps. The platform is IOS and Android compatible and JLR India and Bosch have worked closely with third party app developers to make this happen. Current set of apps include NDTV, Hungama, MapmyIndia and Zomato.
Rohit Suri, President, JLR India said “InControl App will enhance the overall luxury experience of our vehicles and provide technology savvy customers a more convenient option to access their favourite apps. This is an exciting new technology addition to Land Rover Vehicles, which have already become popular for their design, performance, craftsmanship and luxury credentials”
The InControl App platform is currently available in the MY16 Range Rover, Range Rover Sport and the Land Rover Discovery Sport. The recently launched facelift Evoque and the Jaguar model range will get the platform next year.
