The Jeep Compass made its India debut in 2017 and has been a popular SUV for the brand. With excellent build quality and driving pleasure, it has its share of a fan following. The Compass got an update in 2021 and while the diesel engine got an AT box, it came only in the 4×4 version. The 4×2 got only the manual option. Jeep discontinued the petrol models earlier this year and what the car maker has done now is that the AT box is now being offered in 4×4 front wheel drive as well. What you see here is also a special Black Shark Edition. I spent some time driving it on daily commute.
Jeep Compass Black Shark Edition Exterior:
While the looks remain largely unchanged, there are a few changes. There are tweaks to the front grille and the air dam. The Compass also gets an all new alloy wheel design which looks quite sporty. The rear bumper also sees a minor update. The Black Shark Edition sees some specific changes. These include black radiator grille, air dam and inserts on the front bumper, Black Shark badge on the front fender, black ORVMs, gloss black 18 inch alloy wheels, black roof and shark fin antenna, black roof spoiler and black Jeep lettering.
