Jaguar has introduced the new 2.0 litre Ingenium petrol engine for the XE and XF sedans in India. Prices for the Ingenium powered XE start at Rs. 35.99 lakh and for the XF start at Rs. 49.80 lakh (ex showroom).

The Ingenium petrol engines use JLR’s low friction aluminium design that provide enhanced thermal properties along with light weight construction. The engines use twin scroll turbo chargers that reduce lag and continuous Variable Valve Lift technology improves air delivery. The 2.0 litre engine is available in two states of tune, 197 and 247 horsepower respectively. It is mated to an eight speed automatic gearbox.

The 197 tune Ingenium engine will be offered of the XE Pure and Prestige and the XF  Prestige, while the 247 tune will be offered on the XE and XF Portfolio trims.
