Jaguar F-Type SVR revealed
Jaguar has officially revealed the F-Type SVR. Developed by Jaguar’s Special Vehicles Operations division, the company says this is the fastest F-Type ever.
The F-Type SVR is powered by the same 5.0 litre supercharged V8 engine that is seen in the R version. It now develops 567 bhp and 700 Nm torque. It does the 0 to 100 kph sprint in 3.5 seconds and has a top speed of 321.8 kph and the convertible version goes to 313 kph. The engine is mated to the eight speed Quickshift automatic gearbox that is recalibrated for better performance. The F-Type SVR also gets an updated chassis as well. It is 25 kg lighter than the AWD F-Type R and 50 kg lighter if equipped with carbon ceramic brakes and carbon roof. It also features a lightweight titanium and Inconel exhaust that saves 16 kg on the car’s weight. Other features include new dampers and anti-roll bars, wider tyres, lightweight 20-inch forged wheels, new, stiffer rear knuckles, Electric Power-Assisted Steering, Adaptive Dynamics, Torque Vectoring, Dynamic Stability Control and all wheel drive. It also gets aggressively styled bumpers, ventilated bonnet and active rear spoiler.
On the interior it gets unique SVR seats with Lozenge Quilt pattern, suedecloth covered instrument binnacle and centre console, SVR steering wheel and anodised aluminium paddle shifters.
The F-Type SVR will make its global debut at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show in March and will be available in coupe and convertible forms.
