German automaker Audi recently revealed the facelifted version of the Q7 SUV. The Q7 has received both mechanical and cosmetic upgrades that put it at par with the rest of Audi’s line up.
The Q7 now gets 3 powertrain options of which two are diesel (231.2 hp, 286 hp) and one is petrol(339.6 hp). A 48V mild hybrid architecture is standard across the range. The sportier version of the SUV, the SQ7, will be launched later, along with a plug-in hybrid variant, though technical details haven’t been revealed yet. The car gets an optional electromechanical active roll stabilisation, all-wheel steering and adjustable air suspension. The brakes have been upgraded and now get an option of a carbon ceramic kit too. 20-inch wheels are standard across the range.
The car gets an all-LED headlamp cluster that flanks an expansive grille with silver vertical slats that stand out, something that was not seen in the previous models. Towards the rear, the tail lamps now sport a sleek design and a chrome strip that serves to break the vast tailgate very elegantly.
The interior is updated with Audi’s digital Virtual cockpit and dual touch screen infotainment system. An optional heads up display is also available.
The car will be showcased at the Frankfurt Motor show and will go on sale thereafter. It is expected to come to India next year.
