Riding high on the success of the Creta, Hyundai has plans of bringing another SUV in a refreshed avatar in the Indian market. According to Autocar India, the Korean car manufacturer will launch the facelifted Tucson SUV post the lockdown ends in India. Apart from the interior and exterior cosmetic changes to be offered in the facelift, the car will also get new BS-VI compliant engines. When launched, the car will be joining the likes of the Honda CR-V and the Jeep Compass in the Indian market.

Talking about the changes, the facelifted model will receive and update rear and front bumper design. Additionally, the car will also get the signature cascading grille along with a new headlamp and tail light unit. On the inside, the car will get a new touch-enabled, 8-inch infotainment screen with blue link connectivity. Also expected to be included are a wireless charger, panoramic sunroof and an electrically adjustable front row.

 

The engines on offer would be a 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol motor and a 4-cylinder turbo diesel, both of which shall have a capacity of 2-litres. The petrol engine will be tuned to offer 150 hp of peak power and 192 Nm of twist. This motor will be paired with a 6-speed torque converter type automatic as standard. The diesel motor will offer 182 hp of peak power and 400 Nm of maximum torque. Additionally, the diesel mill will be paired with a new 8-speed automatic transmission and will also be offered with an AWD option.
