Test mules of the SUV of Hyundai’s G70 SUV were recently spied in South Korea, the automaker’s home turf. Supposedly called the GV70, it is one of the three SUVs in the portfolio of Hyundai’s luxury arm that is preparing for a global launch.
As we had stated earlier, the GV70 is the smallest of the three SUVs and shall share its underpinnings with the Hyundai Tucson. Owing to this, it will be manufactured in both left-hand drive and right-hand drive formats. Given the robust architecture of Hyundai’s manufacturing facilities in India, coupled with the enthusiastic reception of the Kia concern, it is likely that it will mark the debut of Genesis in India.
While there has been no official statement from the company, we expect the car to be launched sometime in the middle of 2020.
