Formula 1 closed cockpit concept rendered.
We never thought a Formula 1 car with a closed cockpit would look so sexy but this rendering by Dutch designer Andries van Overbeeke has proved us wrong and how.
A closed cockpit would surely give better safety to drivers during races and better visibility during rain. Of course they might need a wiper for the glass too. Coming to other design aspects, the concept has a smaller front wing, reducing sensitivity to air turbulence that will allow for easier overtaking. The concept is also wider than today’s Formula 1 cars and also comes with fatter tyres.
We really hope this concept turns into reality because this is easily the most awesome interpretation of a Formula 1 car that we have seen in recent times.
