The roof of the Ferrari Roma Spider takes 13.5 seconds to open or close and can be done at speeds up to 60 kph.
Ferrari Roma Spider Engine & Performance
Mechanically the Roma Spider is identical to the coupe. It gets the 3.9 litre twin turbo V8 with 620 horses and 760 Nm of torque. And boy does it sound just divine. 0 to 100 kph comes up in just 3.4 seconds and it goes to a top speed of more then 320 kph. Thanks to Ferrari’s Variable Boost Management, you don’t feel any turbo lag at all. All you get is more torque going up the gears. Shifts from the 8 speed dual clutch gearbox are super smooth and compliments the GT characteristics beautifully. The speed cameras all over Dubai played spoilt sport in me giving the Roma Spider the full monty, but the bursts of acceleration were enough to give me an idea of what this car can do. And of course, you have the Manettino switch with multiple drive modes to choose from. Comfort mode is perfect for daily driving and you will be amazed as to how easy going this Ferrari is, its just like driving a regular sedan at those speeds. New Ferraris have surely come a long way.
