Ferrari unveiled the 488 GTB in Mumbai. The successor to the very popular 458 Italia, the 488 GTB heralds in a new era of turbo charged mid engined V8 Ferraris. The 488 GTb is priced at Rs. 3.88 crore ex showroom India.
The 488 GTB is powered by a 3.9 litre twin turbo charged V8 engine that develops 661 bhp at 8000 rpm and 760 Nm torque at 3000 rpm. The Ferrari 488 GTB goes from 0 to 100 kph in 3 seconds and has a top speed of 330 kph. The engine is mated to a 7 speed F1 dual clutch gearbox. The 458 Italia made 562 bhp so the turbos have bumped up the power on the 488 by 100 bhp.
Ferrari made a re-entry into India last year and have two dealers in the country; Select Cars in New Delhi and Navnit Motors in Mumbai. The Ferrari model range in India includes the California T, the 488 GTB, the 458 Spider, the 458 Speciale and the F12 Belinetta. The 488 was also showcased in New Delhi earlier this month.
