Ford India has officially opened bookings for the 2018 Aspire compact sedan. The car can be booked at Ford dealers across India for an amount of Rs. 11,000.

The new Aspire features an Aston Martin style front grille. The headlamps get the smoked effect along with a redesigned front bumper. There are new design 15 inch multi spoke alloys as well.

On the interior, gets a new dashboard from the Freestyle. There is a 6.5 inch touch screen featuring Ford’s SYNC3 infotainment system. It is super slick to use as we reported in our Freestyle review. Additionally there is beige upholstery, engine start/stop button, auto climate control, steering mounted audio controls and USB ports up front.

The updated Aspire will feature the new 1.2 litre Dragon three cylinder petrol engine that is seen in the Freestyle. This engine puts out 96 horsepower and will mated to the new 5 speed manual gearbox. An conventional torque converter automatic transmission is also expected. The 1.5 litre 100 horsepower diesel engine remains unchanged.

Ford will launch the new Aspire on October 4, 2018.
