BMW has launched the X1 M Sport in India at a price of Rs. 37.9 lakh ex showroom Thane. The current X1 has been on sale in India since 2011 with a mild update in 2013.
The X1 will now be available only in the M Sport guise. Its gets sporty and aggressive looking front and rear bumpers, 18 inch alloy wheels,kidney grille bars in gloss black finish, a leather wrapped M steering wheel , soor sill plates with the M logo, contrast stitching for the instrument panel and tail pipe finished in chrome.
The X1 is powered by a 2.0 litre turbocharged diesel engine that puts out 181 bhp and 380 Nm torque. The motor is mated to an eight speed automatic gearbox.
The X1 M Sport is available in only two paint shades, Alpine White and Le Mans Blue. The second generation X1 has already been unveiled internationally and is slated to reach Indian shores next year. This X1 M Sport could be the last hurrah for the current gen model in India.
