The BMW M2 Competition has been launched in India at a price of Rs. 79.9 lakh ex showroom. The car will be sold as a CBU.
The M2 Competition is powered by a 3.0 litre in line six cylinder petrol engine that develops 410 horsepower at 6250 rpm and maximum torque of 550 Nm. It goes from 0 to 100 kph in just 4.2 seconds and has a top speed of 250 kph. The engine comes mated to a 7 speed dual clutch automatic gearbox that sends power to the rear wheels. There are three driving modes: Comfort Sport and Sport+. The M2 Competition also gets the Active M differential as standard along with Dynamic Stability Control.
The exhaust system comes with a flap concept. The electrically controlled flaps, positioned just before the rear silencer, minimise exhaust back pressure for optimised efficiency and create a BMW M sound across the entire rev range.
On the exterior the M2 Competition gets Adaptive LED headlamps, muscular styling at the front and rear, M rear spoiler and sport exhaust with four pipes.
On the interior, the M2 Competition gets an instrument cluster with black panelling, red needles and an M2 Competition welcome screen. There is an M leather steering wheel with M1 and M2 drive buttons and a new red engine start/stop button. There are standard M seat-belts and M2 Sports seats with illuminated M2 badges can be ordered as an option.
