BMW’s flagship sedan, the new 7 Series could come in two variant powered by the V12 engine according to reports. The new 7 current comes with the choice of two petrol engines, a 3.0 litre twin turbo six cylinder motor good for 326 horses and a 4.4 litre twin turbo V8 developing 450 horsepower,.
There are rumours that the 7 Series could get the 6.6 litre V12 engine from Rolls Royce and will come in two states of tune. One version will make 600 horsepower sporting the 760i/760Li badge and the second one is expected to make more than 600 horsepower and could be called the M760i. Power output is expected to be in the same range as the Rolls Royce Ghost and Wraith. The engine will be mated to an eight speed automatic gearbox.
The M760i could get more sportier styling than the standard car. BMW is expected to launch the 760i and/or the M760i in 2016.
