BMW 3-Series Gran Limousine Interior
Moving on to the interior, lets talk about the rear first. The long doors open wide and you will be surprised at the space on offer. Thanks to the extended wheelbase there is 43 mm more legroom for the rear occupants. The rear seats are extremely comfortable and under thigh support is excellent. The seats are well contoured as well and hold u snuggly in place. The backrest, even though fixed, is at just the right angle and the big headrests only add to comfort levels. For a moment you forget that you sitting in a 3-Series. The large panoramic roof makes things very airy and the ambient mood lighting in the front seat back rests and the doors are a nice touch. The rear passengers get their own climate control zone, but as the central tunnel is high, the rear is best suited for two. Surprisingly there are no sun blinds, not on the rear windshield nor the windows.
Up front the dashboard layout is similar to the regular 3-Series sedan. I personally like this Tan upholstery and the silver inserts all around the dash and doors give a premium feeling. Build quality is top notch with high quality material all around. The typical BMW steering feels sporty and nice to hold. There is a 12.3 inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.25 inch touch screen in the centre for the iDrive infotainment system. It comes with wireless Android Auto, Apply Carplay and 3D navigation The front seats get electric adjust and are very comfortable. They also get manually adjustable thigh support. You also get a sweet sounding 16 speaker Harman Kardon sound system, three zone climate control and wireless charging. The higher M Sport version additionally gets gesture control, HUD and 360 degree camera. Boot space stands at 430 litres which feels adequate and there’s a spare wheel under the boot floor. The 3 Gran Limousine also gets a powered boot lid.
