Bentley Flying Spur V8 S revealed
Bentley has taken the wraps off the new Flying Spur V8 S. This model will sit between the V8 and W12 models and will make its global debut at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show in March.
The Flying Spur V8 S sports a 4.0 litre twin turbo V8 engine developing 521 bhp compared to the normal V8 that makes 507 bhp. It makes 680 Nm torque at just 1,700 rpm. It goes from 0 to 100 kph in just 4.9 seconds and has a top speed of 306 kph. The mmotor is mated to an eight speed automatic gearbox and the V8 is comes with all wheel drie with a 40:60 torque split that is biased to the rear. The gearbox also comes with S mode which sharpens throttle response and gears can also be changed manually via paddle shifters. The V8 S comes with variable displacement where four cylinders out of the eight shut down during cruising, thereby adding to fuel efficiency. Exterior features on the V8 S include a black radiator grille, rear diffuser, unique front grille, V8 S badging on the C pllar, V8 tread plates and 20 inch open-spoke painted wheels. Options include dark-tint lights (front and rear), black gloss exterior mirror covers and unique Mulliner Driving Specification 21” black and bright machined six-spoke alloy wheels.
Changes to the cabin include piano-black wood veneers, three-spoke sports steering wheel, knurled gear lever and two-tone seats with a contrasting roof centre bow. V8 S stitching on the headrests can also be specified. The V8 S also comes with WiFi hotspot connectivity.
