Audi has launch the new R8 V10 Plus in India at a price of Rs. 2.47 crore ex showroom Delhi and Mumbai. This is the second generation of the supercar that was globally unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show last year.
Styling wise, it gets a new grille and LED head lamps while Audi will also offer laser headlights that use a laser-guided spot lamp for the high beams. It will also get dynamic turn signals.
Power comes from an upgraded version of the 5.2 litre naturally aspirated V10 engine that is shared with the Lamborghini Huracan and puts out 601 bhp. It goes from 0 to 100 kph in 3.2 seconds and has a top speed of 330kph. The motor is mated to a 7 speed dual clutch automatic gearbox which has been worked on to adopt an auto start stop function. The new R8 also gets cylinder on demand where half the engine cylinders automatically shut off when not needed.
Other features include Audi virtual cockpit a multifunction steering wheel with 20 controls that the driver use to operate various functions of the car.
