Datsun showcased the Go-Cross concept at the Auto Expo 2016. The concept was first unveiled at the Nissan Motor headquarters in Yokohama Japan in October last year. The concept is based on the GO+ wagon.
The GO-Cross concept comes with higher ground clearance, skid plates and body cladding all around. It gets LED headlamps and tail lamps along with large 17 inch alloy wheels, roof rails and roof mounted rear spoiler. The front grille is also larger and comes finished in black chrome. There is no info the mechanicals of the Go-Cross yet.
“Our challenge was to create an unmistakable crossover which kept some iconic design cues from the Datsun GO+ yet, at the same time, was distinctly different. The Datsun GO-cross Concept is proof positive that Datsun’s design language is consistent yet flexible enough to shape every kind of vehicle,” said Koli Nagano, executive Design Director, Datsun at the time of the unveiling in Japan.
