German car manufacturer, Audi, has unveiled the facelift of their popular Q5 SUV. This SUV in its latest avatar comes with a number of cosmetic changes and also welcomes some new features. Sold in India until the BSVI norms were introduced, expect Audi to bring this SUV back to its Indian model line up in 2021. When launched, this car would be up against the likes of the X3 from BMW, XC60 from Volvo, GLC from Mercedes and the Discovery Sport from Land Rover.
Talking about the changes done to the facelift model, the exterior looks much more menacing than before. A new octagonal grille looks aggressive and is flanked by LED headlamps at both sides. Customers can also opt for Audi’s Matrix headlamps in higher trim levels of the car. The bumper too has been reworked and now sports more dynamic-looking air vents. The rear looks rather unchanged with the exception of some minor design changes.
Moving to the interior, the most noticeable difference would be the new infotainment screen. In the centre console now rests a much faster and larger, 10.1-inch touchscreen unit. This new larger screen will also offer connected car technology and will also come with Amazon’s Alexa voice assistant support.
While internationally, the car will be offered with a variety of petrol and diesel engine, we expect the India bound model to come with a petrol motor only. Audi will offer the 2-litre TFSI motor in its 45 guise, generating 245 hp and 370 Nm of twist.
