Audi Q3 35TDI quattro Engine and Performance

Our test car was the 35TDI Technology variant with the 2.0 litre diesel putting out 184 horsepower and 380 Nm of torque. Audi says that this motor is 4 percent up on power than before. The engine is quite peppy and that wonderful 7 speed DSG is super quick with its shifts. Response to kick down is also instant. The engine feels the best in the Dynamic mode and the revs climb up to the red line with enthusiasm. However, the engine does tend to get noisy at mid range to higher rpm levels. Comfort mode is perfect for daily commute and light steering along with the compact dimensions of the Q3 makes it easy to navigate in and out of traffic.

Audi Q3 35TDI quattro Handling and Safety

Ride quality feels a little stiff at low speeds but improves as the speedo rises. The Q3 handles bad patches of road quite well and thanks to the quattro all wheel drive system, there is excellent grip while tackling corners. The steering could have done with more weight though. It does feel disconnected at times. Safety kit includes 6 airbags, ABS, Traction Control and wheel selective torque distribution.
